Nurse Resource Partner
Location: Guelph Downtown Clinic, 21 Surrey Street W, Suite 105B, Guelph, ON N1H 3R3, CAN
Job Type: Part‑Time (2 days/week to start), Remote (Surrey, BC)
The role of the Nurse Resource Partner is key in breaking down barriers for patient access to life‑changing medicines and supporting optimal patient care. Working in the physician’s clinic, the Nurse Resource Partner provides nursing services, administrative tasks, and education to patients and other nurses, interacting directly with patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, physicians, and other health care professionals within a multidisciplinary environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with patients and the healthcare team once the decision to treat with a biologic medication has been established to prepare the patient for treatment.
- Liaise with physicians’ offices, pharmacies, service providers, and other parties to provide comprehensive and coordinated service to patients and HCPs.
- Proactively offer support and advocacy to patients and HCPs, including enrollment, facilitation of coverage renewals, and reimbursement support to physicians and patients.
- Provide in‑person and virtual support such as adherence support, both inbound and outbound as needed.
- Perform clinical nursing tasks such as blood draws and injections.
Qualifications
- Qualified Registered Practical Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid and in‑good‑standing provincial license.
- Minimum 2–4 years of clinical experience.
- Experience in therapeutic specialty (asset).
- Dermatology experience (asset).
- Knowledge of provincial reimbursement (asset).
- CPR and First‑Aid certification required.
- Bilingual English and French (asset).
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and experience in Patient Support Programs (strong asset).
- Strong computer skills,
including proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and EMR.
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and HCPs.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Self‑motivated and collaborative.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills: ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible with patient and HCP requirements.
- Passion for supporting patient care and removing barriers to care.
Compensation
Base pay is part of a total compensation package, determined within a range based on local labor cost benchmarks for each role, level, and geographic location.
