Summary Our core technology is proven; now, we are scaling. We build rugged, sensor-driven systems for high-voltage infrastructure where failure is not an option. We need a Mechanical Engineer to bridge the gap between functional prototypes and high-volume, commercialized assets. You will own the mechanical integrity of our product line, ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability, rigorously tested, and seamlessly transitioned to our Contract Manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities
4+ years in electromechanical product development, specifically taking hardware from prototype to market-ready.
A proven track record of working with CMs and vendors to troubleshoot part quality and scale production.
Expert proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent) and core mechanical principles (first-principles thinking).
You genuinely enjoy the 'last 20%' of design, the hardening, documentation, and manufacturing tweaks that turn a project into a product.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in electromechanical product development with a track record of delivering executed designs.
Demonstrated track record of working with external Contract Manufacturers to troubleshoot and scale production.
Proficiency with SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD) and core mechanical engineering principles.
You enjoy the 'last 20%' of design: the hardening, the documentation, and the manufacturing tweaks that make a product successful in the real world.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ruggedized industrial enclosures and sensor packaging (acoustics, RF, or vibration).
Familiarity with industrial standards (NEMA, IP, IEEE) and certification testing.
Exposure to volume production and supplier quality management.
Compensation Base salary range CAD $90,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Why Join Us You’ll work on technically demanding systems deployed directly on critical electrical infrastructure, where engineering decisions have real-world consequences. Our products help modernize the grid, improve system reliability, and support early detection of electrical faults that can lead to outages and wildfires. This role offers the opportunity to see your work move quickly from design and test into field deployment, closing the loop between engineering intent and real-world performance. You’ll work closely with senior technical leadership in an setting that values first-principles thinking, disciplined execution, and thoughtful iteration, and where strong engineering directly contributes to safer, more resilient critical infrastructure.
