The Role
Under the direction of a Senior Manager, Military Family Services (MFS), the Employment and Entrepreneurship Program Manager will be responsible for contributing to and managing a team dedicated to creating and communicating employment connections and career development opportunities for Canadian military spouses/partners as they navigate the pressures of military life. You will bring a strong understanding of economic and labour market trends, experience with financial and contract management, as well as knowledge of virtual delivery of education and training programmes. You will support or represent MFS in strategic collaborations and partnerships within the Military‑Veteran‑Family community. You are a strong communicator, both in speaking and writing, and will lead tailored communications to multiple audiences on a variety of platforms, including newsletters and social channels. You will also prepare and deliver presentations, facilitate meetings and training events to stakeholders including families, employer partners, Military Family Resource Centres and CAF leadership.
You will liaise and engage with other teams within MFS and CFMWS to mobilise a network of support required to enhance the operational readiness of military members and the well‑being of their families.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues and community partners and oversee activities aimed at supporting families through military challenges like relocations, deployments and transitions. Your work will inform broader system improvements, highlight emerging needs and contribute to strategic outcomes that enhance the resilience of military families.
Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licences
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Commerce, Marketing or a related field and some years of experience in business partnership development, programme management, outreach, outplacement, recruiting or a related field.

Other Information
This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Versatile Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager. Interviews will be conducted virtually. As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a reliability status security screening. This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of May 4, 2026 and end date of October 31, 2030.
