Junior Technical Analyst to support Identity and Access Management initiatives with one of our major banking clients- 40175
Contract Duration: ASAP - Oct 30th (high chance of extension)
Hourly Rate: 30-42 per Hour
Location Address: Toronto (Hybrid) 2 days per week
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, 37.5 Hours Per Week

CIAM Security Engineering – Customer authentication for the bank.
The Technical Analyst will support Identity and Access Management initiatives through technical analysis, requirements documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration. The role operates within the engineering delivery stack and works closely with Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams, while also partnering with product stakeholders and external clients.
Typical Day in Role
Requirements and Technical Analysis
- Strong ability to communicate effectively across engineering, product, and client audiences, adapting language, depth, and framing as appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate discussions professionally and constructively, delivering constraints, trade‑offs, or alternative approaches without confrontation.
- Skilled at creating alignment across groups with differing priorities by focusing on shared outcomes and practical solutions.
- Comfortable leading conversations and working sessions, ensuring all perspectives are heard while guiding discussions toward decisions.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to bring the right stakeholders together to resolve design or delivery questions.
- Organized, proactive, and thoughtful in anticipating questions, risks, and downstream impacts on delivery.
Delivery Coordination and Design Support
- Coordinate cross‑functional discussions with Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to align on scope, dependencies, and delivery approach.
- Facilitate working sessions by guiding conversations, asking relevant technical questions, and helping teams converge on clear outcomes.
- Support Development Leads and Architects by summarizing problem statements, clarifying requirements, and capturing solution options and trade‑offs.
- Assist with delivery planning activities including timeline tracking, dependency management, and sequencing considerations.
- Maintain awareness of resource capacity across personnel and technical environments to support realistic delivery planning.
- Capture meeting notes, decisions, and action items to ensure traceability and follow‑through.
Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills
- 1‑3 years of experience with a strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals sufficient to evaluate design decisions and reason through system behavior.
- Strong technical writing skills, including requirements documentation, decision summaries, and meeting artifacts.
- Ability to create and interpret sequence diagrams, flow charts, and system visuals using tools such as Visio or PlantUML.
Nice‑To‑Have Skills
- Exposure to Identity and Access Management concepts such as OIDC,
SAML, and OAuth 2.0.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for intake, workflow, or service‑management processes.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Bitbucket.
- Exposure to large‑scale enterprise delivery environments or regulated project settings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and supporting engineering workflows.
Soft Skills Required
- Strong ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences, adapting language and level of detail as appropriate.
- Solution‑oriented, collaborative approach focused on progressing discussions toward workable outcomes.

Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
