Our team in Halifax is looking for an Associate eager to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the accounting data
- Ensure all client deliverables are prepared accurately and with a high level of quality
- Reconcile all portfolio and cash activity to source data
- Ensure fund expenses are accrued timely and in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare investor allocations and ensure fee calculations and allocations are booked accurately
- Prepare monthly Net Asset Value reporting while following the established accounting procedures and controls
- Assisting in external audits and tax preparation by gathering documentation and fulfilling requests.
- Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as needed.
- Various other ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
Key Requirements
University degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
- Advanced English skills (B2+)
- Previous accounting or finance experience
- Proactive task management, inbox organization & strong communication skills
- Be able to organize and deliver information (internally and externally) clearly and concisely (written and verbal)
- Experience with fund accounting software Archway would be an asset
- Previous Capital Markets experience or knowledge would be an asset
