?? This role is based in Toronto, Canada. We are actively seeking South African QS professionals — registered with SACQSP or MRICS — who are open to relocating or are already based in Canada.

This role forms part of an exciting expansion into the North American market — and the successful candidate will be at the heart of it.
The opportunity
This is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing and growing our client's Toronto office, while delivering high-level quantity surveying and commercial services across mining and heavy industrial projects. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capability, playing a key role in both project delivery and business development.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and developing the Toronto office, including team growth and operational oversight
- Delivering full-spectrum QS services across mining and heavy industrial projects
- Overseeing estimating, cost planning, cost management and reporting, and contract administration
- Providing commercial input on civil earthworks, structural works, and mechanical plate work
- Building and maintaining client relationships in the Canadian market
- Mentoring and managing junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture
Minimum requirements
- SACQSP or MRICS registered Quantity Surveyor
- Minimum 10 years' experience in mining or heavy industrial sectors
- Proven experience in estimating, cost management, and contract management
- Strong technical exposure to civil earthworks, structural construction, and mechanical plate work
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capability
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to drive office growth and business development
