Facility Planner Full‑time position located in Alberta, Canada. Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Permitting, this role supports multidisciplinary teams in the development of facility and land use applications across a variety of projects within the energy sector.
Core Qualifications
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Geography, Planning, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a related field.
Two to five years of experience planning and permitting facilities or land‑use developments.
Experience in land‑use coordination, planning of linear features, or dealing with land‑use or right‑of‑way issues with public stakeholders.
General knowledge of design/construction.
Technical writing skills.
Working knowledge of GIS software as it relates to planning and permitting facilities or land‑use developments.
Excellent interpersonal skills, team‑oriented, and suited to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Class 5 driver’s licence.
Unwavering commitment to safety and familiarity with safety requirements in field and office.
Open‑minded approach to participating in different types of projects, tasks, and responsibilities associated with a small and growing business.
Sense of initiative and attention to detail.
Core Responsibilities
Support all aspects of facility planning service offerings,
both internally and externally for clients across project development stages.
Undertake site assessment, feasibility analysis, route development, and facility layout for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Support the preparation and submission of regulatory applications (e.g., AUC, AER, EPA).
Collaborate with technical and professional staff across the company and externally in completing assignments.
Complete all required corporate operation and administrative activities (time entry, expense submissions, invoicing, reporting, etc.) in a timely manner.
Support Maskwa employees in day‑to‑day business operations where required.

Compensation Package Maskwa offers a market-competitive salary and benefit package. Salary will reflect years of applicable experience.
Location Full‑time position preferably based at the Calgary office (140 10 Avenue SE). Remote work may be considered for certain candidates. Travel throughout Alberta may occasionally be required.
