Responsibilities
Position Summary: The Sales & Operations (S&OP;) Program Lead contributes to the structure, alignment, and continuous improvement of the organization’s S&OP; processes. This role owns the cadence, readiness, facilitation, and follow‑through for the entire S&OP; cycle. Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager the S&OP; Program Lead partners with Customer S&OP; Champions, the Martin Brower Demand Planning team, the Restaurant Operations Planning (ROP) team, and the Supply Chain team to drive a disciplined, insight‑led S&OP; routine that aligns demand and supply and improves service and cost outcomes.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Own and manage the full S&OP; cycle, including calendar management, milestones, inputs, pre‑reads, meeting agendas, decision logs, and action trackers.
- Set vision and proactively improve routines, standardizing templates, handoffs, and trackers to eliminate reactive work and increase predictability.
- Lead and facilitate demand review and supply review meetings, consolidating demand and supply inputs, documenting decisions, risks, and trade‑offs, and ensuring timely closure of actions and escalations in line with governance protocols.
- Prepare and publish the monthly S&OP; program summary, highlighting demand shifts, variance drivers, capacity and constraint posture, risks, mitigation actions, and required decisions for cross‑functional alignment.
- Define, monitor, and communicate key S&OP; performance indicators, including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, exception volumes, and supplier capacity utilization; translate data into clear narratives and provide updates on process and system improvements.
- Lead long‑term forecast management within the forecasting system, ensuring data accuracy, cleanliness, and integrity to support long‑range planning.
- Drive strong cross‑functional communication and relationship‑building, ensuring consistent planning assumptions, timely risk visibility, and aligned decision‑making across internal and external partners.
- Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring messages for internal stakeholders and external partners, including customer teams and suppliers.
- Ensure the operations follow all Protected Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)/Good Drivers Practices (GDP) for transport rules and regulations.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline and 4+ years of experience in S&OP;, Demand planning, Supply planning, Project Management Office (PMO) roles, or cross‑functional planning roles.
- Proven ability to run S&OP; cycles end‑to‑end with minimal guidance, setting cadence, coordinating inputs, and driving closure of actions and decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint; comfortable working with planning and forecasting systems and key performance indicator dashboards.
- Communicates confidently at all levels, synthesizing data into concise, executive‑ready recommendations and escalating early with clear options.
- Strong organization and sense of urgency, with the ability to plan ahead, manage multiple priorities, and maintain structure and discipline without end of cycle pressure.
- Drives urgency with discipline, ensuring on‑time deliverables, clear and transparent status updates, and consistent follow‑through to achieve measurable outcomes.
- This position must pass a post‑offer background check.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent program leadership experience.
- Experience in quick‑service restaurant environments, consumer packaged goods industries, or multi‑site supply chains.
- Familiarity with enterprise planning systems such as JDA / Blue Yonder Demand and Supply Planning, business intelligence tools, and collaboration platforms such as customer relationship management systems and supplier relationship management systems.
- Background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, change management, or training and capability development.
- Exposure to capacity planning, supplier risk management, inventory optimization, and promotional planning.
