Senior Electrical Designer

We’re working with a growing building engineering consultancy that’s looking to bring on a Team Lead Electrical Designer / Engineer. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys leading a team while staying hands‑on with design and technical work. You’ll play a key role in delivering projects, mentoring team members, and building strong client relationships across a diverse mix of projects. It’s an opportunity to step into a leadership position while still being closely involved in the technical side of the work.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead multiple electrical design projects from concept through construction

Provide technical oversight and ensure quality across designs and documentation

Mentor and support junior and intermediate designers and engineers

Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and reports

Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil teams

Attend client meetings, site visits, and support construction coordination

Assist with contract administration, including shop drawing and site reviews

Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting

Contribute to team growth, hiring,



and improving internal processes

What You Bring

Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

7 to 10+ years of experience in building consulting engineering

Strong experience in electrical systems design, including power, lighting, and emergency systems

Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members

Strong communication skills and client‑facing experience

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Nice To Have

P.Eng. designation or working toward it, or CET with strong consulting experience

Experience in healthcare, institutional, commercial, or multi‑residential projects

Exposure to business development, proposals, or team growth initiatives
