Pay Rate: $25-$27 / hour

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking an experienced Security Site Manager to oversee and coordinate security operations at a large retail complex operating 24/7. In this leadership role, you will manage a team, implement site policies, and ensure high standards of safety, service, and compliance. You will work closely with and report directly to the Client Service Manager. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent multitasking skills, a solid understanding of health and safety protocols, and proven experience in emergency response.

Responsibilities

- Provide leadership and direction to the security team, ensuring high standards of service
- Address client concerns and recommend operational improvements
- Supervise all security staff and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support, mentor, and coach officers to maintain consistent performance
- Conduct site orientations, training, and performance evaluations
- Lead shift briefings, debriefings, and incident reporting




- Act as the primary after-hours contact for site staff
- Conduct investigations and risk assessments
- Create and manage schedules to ensure full site coverage
- Handle last-minute absences and coordinate shift replacements
- Ensure all officers meet required certifications and training standards
- Oversee surveillance systems, access control, and communication tools
- Maintain situational awareness and elevate incidents as needed
- Conduct audits of reports, patrol logs, and system activity
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and privacy standards
- Maintain and enforce explicit and accessible SOPs

Requirements

- Valid Security License (BC Security Worker License - SWL)
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory security experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Eligible to work in Canada

Nice to Have

- Class 5 Driver's License
- OFA2 certification (or willingness to obtain; training available)
