When applicable, Bombardier promotes flexible and hybrid work policies.BenefitsInsurance plans (Dental, medical, life insurance, disability, and more)Competitive base salaryRetirement savings planEmployee Assistance ProgramTele Health ProgramResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross functional teams of internal and external stakeholders in resolution of repeat technical engineering issues for airframe and systems installation.Provide engineering solutions for airframe and systems installation issues to support production operations on Bombardier Global platform aircraft (5500/6500/8000) in Mississauga and other production sites.Provide integrated engineered solutions to resolve design for manufacturing issues impacting final line production.Perform technical engineering analysis of existing systems and structural designs in order to make recommendations for improvements via RFC/PCR.Provide technical engineering focused guidance to support functions such as Quality, Methods, and Production.Prepare relative engineering documentation required for on aircraft testing.Create/enable a positive and collaborative team environment with internal and external stakeholders and take concrete steps/actions to keep high level of engagement within the team.Support technical engineering meetings/review internationally.Develop good working relationships with various departments within BA.QualificationsYou have a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in airframe primary and secondary structural design including systems installations.You have knowledge of CATIA V5 design, kinematics and modeling software.You have strong knowledge of aircraft structure/system installation design with proper consideration of materials, manufacturing processes, GD&T & stack‑up analysis,
civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.You possess strong integration skills, in both system/structural partner management and system/structural technical integration.You are conversant with design, qualification, and certification test requirements.Experience in engaging and leading multi‑functional technical teams, project management, and strong problem‑solving skills.Able to present at executive level management meetings; communicate informationto stakeholders.You have flexibility to travel and work outside of normal hours.You are familiar with Office 365, NCMS, GNET.You have strong communication skills, work with a sense of urgency, able to work well in a multi‑disciplinary team workplace.The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $87,000 to CAD $137,000 per year.
