Vice President, Philanthropy & Communications Fred Victor Centre is a charitable social services organization that works to advance health, economic stability, and housing security for people experiencing poverty, homelessness, and complex mental health and substance use challenges across Toronto. More than 3,000 individuals access services across 20 locations.

We are seeking a senior executive to lead philanthropic growth, public engagement, and community profile to support our mission.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight of fundraising, events, marketing, communications, and volunteer engagement.

Shape and advance integrated strategies that deepen donor relationships, grow revenue, and strengthen the organization’s brand and reputation.

Act as primary fundraising strategist and represent the organization with donors, partners, and community stakeholders.

Contribute to governance processes and the cultivation of philanthropic leadership as staff lead to the Board’s Fundraising Committee.

Oversee a high‑performing team, ensuring a coordinated development and communications approach.

Qualifications

Significant progressive leadership experience in fundraising and philanthropy, including comprehensive development programs.

Experience leading major gift fundraising teams and strategies, including cultivation and stewardship of significant gifts.

Experience leading integrated fundraising, communications, and engagement strategies while managing complex teams.

Strong understanding of fundraising ethics, compliance standards, and sector best practices. CFRE designation or equivalent considered an asset.

The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 CAD per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
