Position Overview As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Nursing Officer drives quality and patient safety improvements to ensure effective service-delivery for quality patient/resident care, provides leadership for nursing practice and promotes interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration. The position is accountable for the clinical programs of Ophthalmology, Ambulatory Surgery-Ophthalmology and Pediatric Dental, Long-Term Care, Sleep Disorders Centre, Allied Health and Rehab programs, within a matrix program management model and Service Delivery Organization health structure.

Experience

3-5 years of experience as a senior manager or program director.

A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.

Clinical background in Long-Term Care, Emergency and Surgery preferred.

Education

Master's degree in Health Care or Business Administration is required and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is essential.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
