600 Grandview St S, Oshawa, ON L1H 8P4, CanadaJob DescriptionLovell Drugs Grandview is looking for afull-timeAssistant Front Store Managerto join our team inOshawa, Ontario.Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.ResponsibilitiesSupport and help lead initiatives that advance the store’s strategic objectives.Adhere to and promote the Neighbourly Pharmacy policy manual, fostering a positive work setting that attracts, retains, and engages employees.Provide oversight of practices related to returns, customer complaints, store security, and employee discounts, delegating responsibilities as appropriate.Manage or delegate responsibilities for cash handling, daily reports, banking, and deposits.Ensure proper store opening/closing, alarm activation, and day-end procedures.Assist in overseeing and managing all aspects of front store staffing.Work collaboratively with HR to support hiring, discipline, and termination activities as needed.Support inventory control efforts in accordance with budgets and preferred supplier programs.Assist the Store Operator with budgeting, purchasing, pricing, and inventory strategies to maximize gross margins.Assist in setting and executing promotional goals, including ordering and setup.Support the monitoring of market trends and make adjustments to promotions, product assortment, or merchandising as required.Support efforts to minimize shrinkage from returns, payouts, theft, and pricing errors,



while ensuring compliance with receiving and pricing procedures.Assist in managing the monthly cycle count schedule and reporting inventory to the Neighbourly Pharmacy Inventory Manager.Assist in coordinating signage and POP materials, including the placement of banners, promotional signs, and shelf talkers.Assist with construction scheduling, change management, customer service operations, margin management, inventory management, and other operational responsibilities.The successful candidate may be required to provide support at other Neighbourly Pharmacy stores within the market as needed.Miscellaneous tasks to support the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager and District Director.Qualifications2+ years of retail management experience (preferred), with proven ability to lead and train teams.Strong people management and interpersonal skills, including motivation, delegation, conflict resolution, active listening, and respectful communication.Professional attitude with excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, staff, and suppliers.Valid driver’s licence required.Criminal Record Check required.Schedule40 hours per week.The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.M. to 7:00 p.M., Saturday from 9:00 a.M. to 5:00 p.M., and Sunday from 11:00 a.M. to 4:00 p.M.Regular shifts are scheduled within these days and hours.Paid vacation.Comprehensive health and dental benefits.Opportunity for career growth and professional development support.Neighbourly Pharmacy is an equal opportunity employer.
