The Role Our client, a large global steel manufacturing company, is looking for a

Regional Sales Manager / Outside Sales Representative

to manage their territory and bring in recent business.

The role is fully

remote

but candidates must reside in the Sudbury, Ontario area. The shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with required flexibility for overtime. Travel includes 3‑4 days of overnight travel per year, occasionally a full week, to the United States and Quebec.

Key qualifications: bilingual in French and English, understanding of CAD drawings, knowledge of construction projects, experience with steel products, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Lead by example and ensure all company policies and procedures are followed during every customer interaction.

Actively participate in team meetings and value each team member’s contributions.

Propose and help implement process improvements and best practices across operations.

Monitor KPIs, ensure quality control, and resolve customer issues promptly.

Achieve regional sales and profitability targets, driving future growth through value‑based selling strategies.

Build and maintain customer relationships, expand the client base, and prioritize sales efforts based on company goals.

Provide strong product knowledge in every client meeting and articulate product features to differentiate the company’s product line.

Execute regional sales strategies,



prepare reports and forecasts, and support contract negotiations.

Stay informed on market trends and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.

Prospect new business and promote value‑added services and advanced technical solutions.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams and pursue professional development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

3–5+ years in sales or manufacturing, with solid technical knowledge of steel, mining, industrial, recycling, or maintenance repair industries.

Excellent verbal and written communication; highly organized and detail‑oriented.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); CRM and ERP system exposure required.

Thrives under pressure, meets deadlines, and consistently delivers outstanding customer service.

Works independently with sound judgment, professionalism, and a proactive attitude.

Solid analytical, time management, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills; creative and dependable.

Maintains professional, courteous relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Bilingual (English/French) and a valid driver’s license.

Proven success in previous sales roles, with strong closing abilities and rapid learning of product knowledge.

Active driver’s license with a clean record.

Ability to travel to the US and occasionally to other provinces.

Compensation & Perks

$115,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
