Overview

Typical Day in Role: Implementing PostgreSQL database clusters with replication Manage database security/integrity and backup procedures Upgrade Database instances from lower versions to current versions. Assist with database design and development and tuning queries Independently manage MongoDB installations and configurations in Linux environments and cloud (GCP). Implement multi-data center replica sets and sharded clusters across Linux platforms and MongoDB Atlas on GCP. Ensure database security with knowledge of audit, security, backup/recovery and encryption at rest. Tackle complex problems through conceptualization and reasoning. Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills

10+ Years as a Database Administrator or relevant experience. 5+ years of recent experience with Solid PostgreSQL skills from version 13 to current.



2+ years of Hands-on experience with MongoDB Enterprise and MongoDB Atlas. Previous experience with GCP AlloyDB is critical for this role Proficient in configuring MongoDB in a Linux environment and cloud Experience with implementing multi-data center replica sets and sharded clusters Knowledge of audit processes, security measures, encryption at rest, MongoDB version upgrades Nice-To-Have Skills

Prior Scotia experience Previous experience with Cassandra Database and Redis experience is nice to have Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
