Ensure workplace safety as an Occupational Safety Specialist. Identify hazards, develop protocols, and implement safety programs in adherence to regulations and best practices.
This role reports to the Manager of Occupational Safety for a health-focused organization. You will be tasked with conducting audits, providing training, and promoting a safety-conscious culture. Key responsibilities include incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance with health and safety laws while collaborating with teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain corporate OHS programs and policies
• Lead hazard risk assessments and guide teams on safety procedures
• Conduct workplace evaluations to identify potential dangers
• Analyze accident statistics to identify trends
• Communicate investigation outcomes and recommended actions
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• At least one certification in Occupational Health & Safety
• Minimum four years of field experience in OHS
• Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
