About the Role The Strategic Business Advisor is responsible for engaging business units to understand their challenges and priorities and develop technology‑led investments and initiatives that deliver tangible business value. This role focuses on business engagement, working with stakeholders to build clear insights into business processes, people and roles, technology, and data to craft solutions that align strategically with service line and corporate objectives. By leveraging a deep understanding of how technology can enhance business outcomes, the advisor ensures business solutions align with Colliers’ broader technology best practices and preferred platforms, while supporting business units with technology roadmaps that meet their unique needs. Responsibilities Professionally engage with business units and diverse stakeholders including executives, managers, subject matter experts, and end users to identify, understand, and prioritize operational, tactical, and strategic needs. Conduct thorough analyses of business scenarios, examining the roles and interactions between people, processes, technology, and data. Define and architect strategic initiatives that align technology investments with business goals and technology strategy, ensuring a direct correlation between technology solutions and business outcomes. Serve as a strategic advisor, providing expert advice, insights, recommendations, and guidance on how technology can be leveraged to solve business problems. Work with business leaders to define metrics for success, monitor project progress, and report on the impact of initiatives in terms of business value. Lead or support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or technologies by business units. Oversee and guide small to medium projects ensuring they meet strategic business objectives. Ensure the application of business processes, roles, technology,
and data are continuously optimized. Provide ongoing support to regional or service‑line specific Commercial Technology Services Leads to help optimize technology investments. Educate business units on technology benefits and best practices to foster a culture of technology‑driven innovation. Qualifications At least 5 years in a strategic advisory or business analysis role with a focus on technology integration in business strategies. Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, management, or related fields. An MBA would be advantageous. Deep insight into business operations, strategy, and process optimization including the interplay between people, processes, technology, and data. Excellent communication skills to explain complex, multifaceted solutions clearly to various audiences both verbally and in writing. Ability to translate ideas and concepts into diagrams and other visual aids. Strong analytical capabilities to dissect business problems and identify underlying issues and opportunities. Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships across various levels of an organization. Experience in industries such as commercial real estate or financial services, where technology impacts are notable across various operational dimensions. Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, multinational, multi‑service‑line environment, able to adjust strategies as business conditions change. Certifications in strategic management, business analysis, or data management would be advantageous. Location & Salary Hybrid:
