Overview

We are currently seeking to fill a Full-Time Customer Service Specialist role in our Distribution Services business unit in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Manager, Customer Services, the Customer Service Specialist (CSS) will manage a portfolio of customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver timely and efficient transload and transportation solutions. The CSS will also contribute to key projects, coordinate transportation, and provide regular updates to the team, while building strong relationships with customers and gaining a deep understanding of their needs. In addition, the CSS will coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with railways, as well as with our Dispatch and Operations teams. By leveraging their customer relationships, the CSS will help identify new revenue opportunities and communicate them to our Supply Chain team.

This position will be working a Monday – Friday shift from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with railways and with Dispatch and Operations teams.
- Manage a portfolio of customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver timely transload and transportation solutions.
- Contribute to key projects, provide regular updates to the team, and build robust customer relationships.
- Identify potential revenue opportunities through customer relationships and communicate them to the Supply Chain team.

Qualifications

- Strong coordination skills with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and communication across departments




- Customer service experience in high-volume, high-accountability environments
- Experience in Transportation, rail, logistics or similar environments preferred
- Experience and accuracy with data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, detail focused environment
- Able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Highly developed communication skills
