Job Title: Media Planner

Role Summary And Impact

As a Media Planner at EssenceMediacom, you will be instrumental in supporting the development and execution of media plans. You will contribute to the day‑to‑day management of campaigns, foster strong relationships with clients and partner agencies, and ensure the seamless execution of media strategies. About the Role

The Media Planner provides support to the managers in the senior team, contributes to overall client service requirements and assists in the management of media plan executions.

Key Responsibilities

- Day to day contact with some client accounts
- Nurture relationships and work directly with client partner agencies (i.e., creative)
- Build positive relationships with client contacts
- Assist in development and presentation of plans, in conjunction with senior planners




- Develop smaller plans and execute with minimal management direction
- Track developed campaigns and discuss them with clients and senior management
- Complete reports with little guidance, transforming vendor data and team statistics into actionable insights
- Ensure team deadlines are met
- Provide timely communication responses, especially to clients
- Oversee all media accounting and administrative duties, including monthly media expenditure reports (BCRs)
- Traffic campaigns to specialist teams
- Work with AdOps and Account Manager to ensure all site tagging is complete prior to campaign launch
- Check creative when received or preview links are provided by teams
- Carry out buy brief meetings with Investment Team
- Take detailed notes for meetings and provide contact reports
- Access appropriate research for clients’ needs using proprietary tools
- Work with Finance, Investment Team, Traffic and other internal groups to ensure client activity is in order

- Develop presentation skills

Your Education And Experience

- 1–3 years media planning/buying experience
- Post‑secondary degree, specialization in Advertising and/or Marketing an asset

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between the values at the bottom of this posting. Individual compensation varies based on job‑related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.

$39,750 – $66,250 CAD
