Reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Risk and Business Improvement, the Senior Compliance Specialist is a senior subject matter expert responsible for providing strategic guidance and operational leadership for corporate-level compliance functions, including Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning. The role involves collaborating with senior leaders across Operating Groups and Shared Services to influence compliance-related decision‑making, support risk mitigation strategies, and align practices with organizational and regulatory expectations. The specialist works closely with the Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC) to handle compliance obligations, develop compliance framework and policies, and foster a proactive compliance culture across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

Guide enterprise compliance objectives in collaboration with the Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC).

Develop and align enterprise‑wide compliance frameworks with Legal, HR, Finance, and Shared Services.

Report regularly to ERC on compliance status under direction of Risk and Legal leadership.

Establish and manage compliance escalation pathways and support model.

Drive alignment of risk and compliance practices across Operating Groups while respecting business needs.

Lead enterprise compliance strategy, influencing risk mitigation and aligning with regulatory and business priorities.

Oversee Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning, including advising, testing, and continuous improvement.

Monitor regulatory changes, advise leadership on risk impacts,



and drive proactive compliance culture and enterprise‑wide risk mitigation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Law, or a related field.

Completion of CCO qualifying exams and registrations (e.g., PDO, Supervisor), or equivalent.

8+ years of progressive experience in compliance, risk, internal audit, legal, or related fields.

Experience in large Shared Services or corporate environments.

Industry experience in construction or similar industrial sectors.

Cross‑border experience in both Canada and the U.S. preferred.

Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., anti‑bribery, AML, competition/anti‑trust law, privacy).

Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence at senior executive levels.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Work Conditions

Hybrid role, with a combination of work from home and in‑office presence 1–2 days per week, or as business needs require.

Compensation $123,200.00 – $169,400.00 (base pay range; actual pay determined by experience, qualifications, and location). The total rewards package includes advantages supporting physical, mental, and financial well‑being.
