Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Mechatronics / Hardware Integration Engineer to support the development and validation of electro-mechanical products used in real-world, customer-facing environments.
This role combines mechanical design with practical hardware integration and troubleshooting. You will work directly with prototypes and production units, integrating sensors and peripherals, wiring and instrumenting devices, collecting data, and diagnosing system behaviour. The position works closely with electrical and firmware teams but requires the ability to independently validate and debug hardware in a lab environment.
This is best suited to an engineer who enjoys working with physical devices, testing systems, and solving real-world hardware problems — not just designing components.
What You’ll Do
Integrate electro-mechanical assemblies including sensors, cameras, scanners, and embedded peripherals
Wire and instrument prototypes and development units for testing and validation
Collect and interpret hardware data from sensors and system outputs
Troubleshoot hardware behaviour using lab tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, serial interfaces, diagnostic utilities)
Support root-cause investigation of system failures and intermittent issues
Prototype, test, and refine mechanical and mechatronic subsystems
Work closely with electrical and firmware engineers during integration and debugging
Support manufacturing readiness and assist technicians during builds and deployment
Prepare documentation, BOMs, and test procedures
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
Experience working directly with hardware prototypes and integrated systems
Comfortable wiring sensors and peripherals and validating device operation
Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and work alongside electrical engineers
Experience interpreting sensor outputs (digital or analog signals)
Hands‑on troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of hardware behaviour
Solid mechanical design understanding and proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar)
Comfortable working in a lab and hands‑on development environment
Nice to Have
Experience with embedded devices, instrumentation, or hardware R&D; environments
Familiarity with serial communication, microcontrollers, or device interfaces
Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, or diagnostic tools
Basic scripting (Python or similar) for hardware testing or data capture
Background in robotics, automation, kiosks, medical devices, or test equipment
Why Join Us
Work directly on real products deployed globally
Highly hands‑on engineering environment
Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and firmware integration
Small engineering team with broad ownership and technical variety
Transparent path to senior technical responsibility
