Within GBME, FX, Commodities, Prime Services, Collateral Mgmt. & Funding Technology focuses on key capital markets systems within the products indicated: Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Prime Services, and Collateral Mgmt. & Funding (repurchase agreements)The Role Prime Services Technology is searching for a Software Engineer for Prime Services Data Interface (PSDI) platform – a central operational data store and data warehouse for Prime Services transaction processing systems.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:partner with peer engineers, business partners, and the various GBME teams for developing solutions.Work closely with end users, and business teams to understand business needs, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments as neededPartner with Architecture on the design and integrationDeliver and enhance new and current solutions and applicationsBe involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementationDesign, deliver and implement a database schemaDesign test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non-functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testingWrite deployment scripts and leverage tools such as the Accelerator pipeline to promote codeSupport the solution in production (as needed)Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries.Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiencesAble to work with and refactor legacy code (as needed).Coach and train end users (as needed).Participate in daily stand-upsDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:7 – 10 years’ experience with OOP Programming, Java, Enterprise Edition Java - J2EE (Servlets, JDBC, EJB, JSP, JMS), Spring Framework5 + years Unix/ Shell Scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.)5 + years Database development with Oracle, Sybase, PL/SQL etc.5+ years in message-oriented middleware such as JMS, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, KafkaExperience with Oracle and Linux platformsExperience with Agile methodologies and JIRA toolset in particular.5 + years in UI Framework such as Vue.Js (preferred) or similarStreaming architecture and Tools and in particular Elastic SearchExperience with DevOps, version control system such as Bitbucket, CheckMarkxA recognized undergraduate degree or diploma in business administration, computer science or related field required.Preferred QualificationsPrior development experience in a capital markets Prime Broker role or a trade booking rolePrior experience in developing application using SOA architectureExperience with some automated deployment.Ability to communicate with key business and technology stakeholders on a daily basisWhat's in it for you?Working as part of a dynamic ecosystem of vendor and proprietary systems managed by a global team.
