The Ontario Financing Authority (OFA) is seeking a Senior Manager, Investments, Nuclear Funds to join its Capital Markets Division , supporting Ontario's long‑term financial stewardship and nuclear responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity to lead complex private market investment activities, work closely with global investment managers, and contribute to long‑term portfolio outcomes. In this role, you will lead work within a specialized investment team responsible for sourcing, evaluating, implementing, and monitoring investment strategies for the Ontario Nuclear Funds, with a focus on private market and real asset investments such as infrastructure and real estate. The role supports the achievement of the Funds' long‑term return objectives within approved risk and policy parameters. As Senior Manager, Investments, Nuclear Funds you will: Lead the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and monitoring of private market investments, with a focus on infrastructure, real estate, and real assets. Develop investment and portfolio construction recommendations that support long‑term return objectives within approved risk and policy frameworks. Conduct and oversee financial analysis, modelling, and due diligence for fund investments and co‑investments. Manage relationships with external institutional investment managers and monitor ongoing investment performance. Prepare and present investment analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees. Represent the Ontario Financing Authority on investment advisory committees and boards, as required. Meet Your Current Team The Capital Markets Division develops and executes the Province of Ontario's borrowing and debt management programs, invests funds for the Province and specific government entities, and provides investment management services to the Ontario public sector. Within this division, the Nuclear Funds Investments team is responsible for managing approximately $35 billion in assets across all asset classes, in both public and private markets. The team works collaboratively with external investment managers and senior stakeholders to ensure prudent, well‑governed investment outcomes that support Ontario's long‑term nuclear obligations. In this role, you will report to the Director, Nuclear Funds Investments , within the Ontario Financing Authority's Capital Markets Division.



What you bring to the team Leadership and People Management Established experience leading people and teams, with clear accountability for results, team development, and performance. Demonstrated ability to set direction, provide guidance and coaching, and support effective performance through clear priorities and expectations. Proven capacity to foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that supports sound decision making. Strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in the stewardship of public funds. Investment and Technical Expertise Demonstrated experience in private market investment management, particularly in real assets such as infrastructure and real estate. Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills applied to investment evaluation, portfolio construction, pacing analysis, and long‑term forecasting. Experience conducting comprehensive investment due diligence, including financial, business, legal, tax, and risk considerations. Experience sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and monitoring external private market investment managers, investment funds, and co‑investment opportunities. Strategic Thinking and Judgment Ability to evaluate complex investment opportunities and associated risks within approved policy and governance frameworks. Experience developing well supported investment recommendations that balance long‑term return objectives and risk parameters. Robust understanding of asset allocation, diversification, and long‑term risk/return tradeoffs. Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgment and political acuity when making or advising on decisions with significant financial impact and implications for senior leadership and stakeholders. Communication and Relationship Management Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex investment information clearly and accurately. Experience preparing analyses, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership, investment committees, and governance bodies. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners, external managers, advisors, and stakeholders.
