In this role you’ll be responsible for maintaining and sustaining existing APC applications, assisting in the development of new control applications, and providing technical and operational support to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.Minimum RequirementsBachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer EngineeringEnrolled in a relevant Master’s degree program, such as Chemical Engineering, Computer Process Control, or Advanced ControlResponsibilitiesPerform routine monitoring of APCs – this includes troubleshooting APC related issues, direct communication with Process Engineers and panel operators to address any issues affecting their ability to keep the APCs online,
ensuring the optimization of the APCs are being met and evaluating the performance of soft sensors (inferentials) to ensure they do not drift from laboratory readingsReport to relevant stakeholders about APC performance – this includes a weekly APC report, Monthly Inferential and APC Stewardship reports and Monthly, Quarterly and Year to Date KPIsDevelop current APC solutions and maintain existing applications for various Suncor assetsProvide APC trainingAnalyze data using Seeq, Matlab, Excel, Minitab, Python, or other techniques as required by business needsSupport software and hardware upgrade activities that involve APC related equipment Industrial Control SystemLocation and other Key detailsYou will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake site, Fort McMurrayShift Schedule will be Monday to FridayThis is a safety sensitive positionTo learn more about living and working in Fort McMurray, click here (ensure link is added: we are a fit?
