Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect

Job Duties

- Giving advice and evaluate technology, solutioning, and architectural choices for projects and products for the loyalty program.
- Take on a strategic role that involves introducing governance and discussing and proposing strategic ideas while collaborating with IT and business units.
- Principal liaison for all technical and functional inquiries involving Air Canada and its downstream systems with IBS and cooperation with offshore teams.
- Ensure complete client satisfaction when developing and implementing a product solution to satisfy client needs.
- Offering guidance to business stakeholders on how to implement and interpret digital technologies in order to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure conformity by enforcing common, modular, reusable architectures, development frameworks, and platforms.
- Assist product teams in updating their architectural framework and procedures to reflect the most recent developments in technology.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and following all Agile guidelines.
- Anticipated working in conjunction with many product verticals within the company.
- Assure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects, preserving client confidence and enhancing IBS' standing in Canada.
- Ensuring timely delivery of the CRs without reworks and flaws in solutioning.
- Daily and direct communication with the QA and Air Canada Business teams to refine requirements and provide real-time clarification and estimations for deliverables.
- Conducting live testing of iFly with other systems for troubleshooting.

Skills Required:

Requirement Analysis

- Create system use case documents.
- Create UML use case diagrams.
- Conduct impact analysis.




- Perform business process analysis and documentation.

Building Solutions

- Create solutions using existing products/components.
- Conduct solution review.
- Conduct product/solution demos when required.

Architecture & Design

- Create UML design models (class diagram, sequence diagram) adhering to design standards and guidelines.
- Conduct data modelling using ER diagrams.
- Conduct design review.
- Understand and document product architecture.
- Experience in system migrations

Coding

- Expertise in Java, JEE, Hibernate, ANSI SQL., Spring
- Expertise in HTML, JavaScript, JSF, Angular, Node
- Understanding of coding standards and ability to conduct code reviews.
- Create jUnit test cases.
- Understand code quality matrices.
- Experience in application servers.
- Experience in using Oracle & PostgreSQL database servers.
- Experience in any NoSQL engines
- Experience in caching frameworks like EhCache

Testing

- Perform functional and integration testing.
- Perform performance/NFR testing.

Project Management

- Experience in agile / SCRUM practices.
- Lead team in development

Salary range: CAD 133,000 - CAD133,900/year
