Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated MRM Product Lead with hands-on experience in building and deploying scalable Model Risk Management (MRM) solutions in Databricks using MLflow.
The ideal candidate can build robust models, operationalize them using up-to-date MLOps practices, design scalable data pipelines within cloud-native environments, and embed regulatory-grade model risk controls across the model lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Databricks for end-to-end ML workflows aligned to MRM standards
- Productionize ML models using MLflow for experiment tracking, model registry, lifecycle management, and model validation artifacts
- Design and implement model validation frameworks (performance, stability, bias, and explainability)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows with integrated model risk controls and approvals
- Monitor model performance, drift, and stability metrics aligned to MRM policies
- Manage version control for models, features, and validation evidence
- Ensure reproducibility, traceability, and governance of models for audit and regulatory review
- Manage feature pipelines and model retraining strategies with documented thresholds and triggers
- Knowledge of Unity Catalog for data governance, lineage, and access control
- Solid understanding of model lifecycle,
from data ingestion to production deployment, including independent validation and ongoing monitoring
- Partner with risk, compliance, and audit stakeholders to operationalize MRM requirements
- Communicate model risk insights clearly to technical and business stakeholders
Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, notebooks, jobs) for regulated ML workflows
- Working knowledge of MLflow for model lifecycle management and validation documentation
- Experience implementing governance using Unity Catalog (lineage, access control, data classification)
- Strong SQL proficiency for data quality checks and risk reporting
- Understanding of distributed computing concepts in regulated environments
- Familiarity with explainability, bias detection, and model monitoring techniques (e.g., SHAP, PSI, CSI)
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a risk-first mindset
- Ability to translate MRM and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Strong communication and documentation capabilities for audit-ready deliverables
- Ability to work in cross-functional agile teams including data science, risk, validation, and compliance
