Position Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join their growing team. This role will involve managing residential real estate files and borrower-side private mortgage closings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines, and a commitment to clear, professional communication with mortgage brokers, borrowers, and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage residential real estate transactions from file opening to closing
- Handle borrower-side private mortgage closings, ensuring compliance with instructions and timelines
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents with a high degree of accuracy
- Serve as a primary point of contact for mortgage brokers, and borrowers, maintaining proactive and professional communication
- Collaborate within a team, supporting other clerks and contributing to a positive team dynamic

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk
- Proficiency with Teraview, PC Law, Unity (or similar practice management software), and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Ontario real estate law

Compensation

- Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience
