Job Responsibilities
Own HR Operations
Recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll oversight, benefits and compensation administration, RRSP coordination, compliance, and HR documentation are yours to run. The team comes to you. Issues are resolved at your level.
Lead Recruitment and Onboarding
Lead full‑cycle recruitment across legal, non‑legal, and student roles. Strengthen HR's presence early in the screening process, build forward‑looking hiring plans, and take full ownership of the end‑to‑end recruitment experience. Design and maintain onboarding processes that set clear expectations and accelerate integration.
Build Performance and Accountability Structures
Performance management is still early in its development. You will establish clearer review timelines, build structured processes, introduce broader feedback models where appropriate, and strengthen documentation practices.
Maintain HRIS and Data Integrity
You will maintain data integrity, refine task and recruitment workflows, build out performance management functionality within the platform, and reduce manual administrative work through smarter system use.
Oversee Payroll and Benefits
Review payroll submissions before final approval, identify opportunities to reduce manual steps, and work toward better integration between payroll and HRIS. Oversee benefits administration and manage broker relationships over time.
Manage Your Team
Manage the HR Coordinator and two Office Administrators.
Look beyond day‑to‑day tasks. Notice patterns, identify inefficiencies,
and raise improvements proactively. Within your first 90 days, you will have implemented at least one meaningful operational enhancement.
