Job Description
Will report to the Manager, Health and Safety on the Project. This role involves:
- Interfacing across all project teams to establish solid relationships and provide leadership on Safety & Security elements.
- Coordinating Threat and Hazard Impact Risk Assessments (T/HIRA) and developing programs to improve Safety & Security performance.
- Providing subject matter expertise and guidance on health and safety matters across the program.
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of client staff.
- Conducting periodic assessments and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending corrective actions.
- Providing management‑level reporting and identifying key risks and issues for escalation.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write reports and presentations.
- Solid interpersonal and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments.
- BA/BS + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in an onsite health and safety role.
- Experience in construction environments, major infrastructure or aviation programs.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing effective health and safety management plans.
- Diploma or certificate in health and safety and/or equivalent training experience.
