Role: UX Designer Toronto, ON (remote)
About the role You’ll be the user advocate behind digital experiences that connect people with client products and services. Working at the intersection of user research, business strategy, and technical implementation, you’ll translate complex user journeys into elegant, accessible designs that deliver measurable results. We’re looking for someone who balances user needs with business goals and finds creative solutions that serve both, designing experiences that users love and that drive key business metrics.
What you will be doing
Design user experiences that reduce friction and improve task completion across digital touchpoints
Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that effectively communicate design intent to stakeholders
Conduct user research activities including interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping to inform design decisions
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and content teams to ensure seamless implementation
Build and maintain design systems that ensure consistency across platforms and products
Transform user insights and business requirements into testable design hypotheses
Guide accessibility standards and inclusive design practices across all digital products
Present design rationale clearly to clients and stakeholders, connecting design decisions to business outcomes
Stay current with UX trends, platform guidelines, and emerging technologies to enhance user experiences
Deliver designs that improve key metrics such as conversion rates, user satisfaction, and task completion
Manage and maintain Sitecore CMS platform for optimal performance, developing content templates, components, and workflows
Manage project tickets and workflows through Jira ticketing system
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions
What you need to be great in this role
A portfolio demonstrating a user‑centered design process, with solid problem‑solving and systems thinking
Proficiency in design tools including Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, plus prototyping tools like InVision or Principle
Experience with user research methods including usability testing, interviews, and analytics interpretation
Understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG)
Ability to create explicit wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes that guide development
Strong communication skills for presenting design rationale and facilitating collaborative workshops
Experience working in agile environments with cross‑functional teams
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals and technical constraints
Proficiency with Gen AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Figma AI, Miro AI) to enhance research synthesis, content creation, and ideation
Agentic mindset: ability to break down complex user problems systematically and identify optimal design approaches
Experience using AI for user research analysis, persona development, and design iteration
Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in UX design, with strong human‑centered evaluation
Ability to leverage AI tools while maintaining focus on real user needs and usability principles
Experience designing for financial services, fintech, or regulated industries
Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard design
Experience with user testing platforms like Maze, UsabilityHub, or UserTesting
Understanding of conversion optimization and A/B testing methodologies
Motion design skills for micro‑interactions and transitions
At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $93,500.00 CAD to $104,500.00 CAD. Individual compensation varies based on job‑related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
