Daily Responsibilities
Project Name: Power Apps: IAM360
The project focuses on building and enhancing business applications using Microsoft Power Platform, automating workflows, integrating with enterprise systems, and optimizing data management with Dataverse.
Responsibilities
Power Apps Development:
- Design, develop, and customize canvas and model-driven Power Apps to meet business requirements.
- Create user-friendly interfaces and ensure seamless integration with data sources.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and security measures within Power Apps.
Power Automate:
- Develop and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
- Integrate workflows with various data sources, including Dataverse, SharePoint, and external APIs.
- Monitor and optimize workflow performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Dataverse Management:
- Design and manage Dataverse data models, including tables, relationships, and business rules.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Optimize Dataverse performance and storage usage.
API Integration:
- Develop and configure custom API connectors to integrate Power Platform solutions with third-party systems and services.
- Ensure secure and efficient data exchange between Power Platform and external systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
SQL Development and Optimization:
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server to support Power Platform solutions and business reporting needs.
- Analyze and tune query performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Collaborate with data engineers and DBAs to implement best practices for database design and maintenance.
Solution Design and Implementation:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Create technical documentation, including solution architecture, workflows, and user guides.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning of Power Platform solutions.
Support and Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Power Platform solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by end-users.
- Stay updated on the latest Power Platform features and best practices.

Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse):
The candidate will design, develop, and maintain business applications using Power Apps (both canvas and model-driven), automate workflows with Power Automate, and manage data models and business rules in Dataverse/SQL Server. They will also ensure security, integration, and performance optimization within these tools.
Microsoft SQL Server :
The candidate will write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support Power Platform solutions and business reporting. They will also analyze and tune query performance, and collaborate on database design and maintenance.
API Integration (REST APIs, Custom Connectors):
The candidate will develop and configure custom API connectors to integrate Power Platform solutions with third-party systems, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.
Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Azure Services:
The candidate will integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Azure services as needed for data, authentication, and workflow automation.
General Development Tools:
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps (or other CI/CD tools), and low-code/no-code development principles is beneficial for collaboration, deployment, and solution lifecycle management.
In this role, the selected candidate will use these technologies daily to build, optimize, and support business applications, automate processes, manage and integrate data, and ensure the reliability and performance of solutions across the organization.
Must-have Skills
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Power Platform Developer, with expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Power Platform architecture and its components.
- Experience in creating and managing custom API connectors for integration with external systems.
- Proficiency in Power Apps formulas, Power FX, and Canvas/Model-driven app development.
- Hands-on experience with Dataverse, including data modeling, relationships, and business rules.
- Knowledge of Power Automate flows, including multi-step workflows, approvals, and error handling.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with query performance tuning and troubleshooting in SQL Server environments.
- Familiarity with Azure services, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 integrations.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth authentication.
- Experience with Power BI integration for reporting and dashboards is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience with Python for scripting, data manipulation, or automation.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of low-code/no-code principles
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions)
