What We’re Looking For
As an Associate Insurance Advisor in our Commercial Division, you will work closely with a team of Producers and Marketers on our Commercial Accounts. We are seeking an individual with a superior attention to detail to join our Burnaby Still Creek head office location in a full time position. Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional customer experience to internal and external customers
- Demonstrate good technical insurance knowledge of coverages
- Follow Hub Service Guidelines
- Demonstrate commitment to teamwork by supporting Account Executive/Account Manager and Marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
- Act as primary Customer Service Contact in the absence of Account Executive/Account Manager
- Respond to customer requests directly (or indirectly from Account Executive/Account Manager), submit information to appropriate insurance companies and bind coverage where appropriate
- Attend Critical Path meetings; follow up on action items required by Account Executive/Account Manager, Marketer or Servicer
- Prepare proposals, rate sheets, customer correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standards
- Prepare cover notes on accounts marketed by production team
- Process all documentation according to Hub workflows
- Certificates of Insurance; Cover notes; Summaries and Proposals; New Business, Renewals and Endorsements; Premium Finance contracts; Invoicing
- Attach all documentation into EPIC
- Assist Account Executive/Account Manager with managing Account Receivables
- Review and manage Account Reconciliation with Accounting Team
- Review and prioritize all assigned tasks daily including company mail, emails, abeyances/activities
- Maintain accuracy of electronic files in EPIC, Policy Works, Certificate Exchange, CSR24 and physical files as per agency standards
- Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers
- Continues career development to develop skills and knowledge
- Protect HUB from E&O;




- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

- Level 2 General Insurance License
- 2-3 years of insurance experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Thrives in a fast paced environment
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Typing speed of at least 55 wpm
- Acts as a liaison between client, Account Managers, Account Executives and Marketers
- Update client information as changes occur
- Answer account related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks
- Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry

Asset Experience That Will Make You Stand Out

- Industry designation (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
- Commercial insurance experience is an asset
- Accounting experience
- EPIC, Policy Works, CSR24 and Certificate Exchange experience

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
