About the Role
We are seeking an intermediate Software Developer to join our Montréal office to contribute to new products for airlines and travelers. The role is fullstack, with solid frontend (React + TypeScript or equivalent, min. 3 years) and backend (Java, SpringBoot, open source libraries, min. 3 years) expertise.
They will collaborate with peers on technical proposals, contribute to internal tooling, and support the incident triage/resolution efforts for support and operations teams.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop elegant and modern web applications enabling passengers to purchase upgrades and partners to operate and optimize their offerings, with a focus on robust backend systems
- Elevate quality through pair programming, code reviews (pull requests), and a willingness to learn or share skills
- Contribute to effort estimation for user stories or lead technical architecture discussions
- Assist the support and operations teams in triaging and resolving issues
You Are Someone With
- Experience delivering a product as part of a team
- 3+ years of professional web application development in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Ability to write clean, understandable, and testable code with maintainability in mind
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to designers, support teams, and other developers
- Solid computer science foundations: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, information retrieval
- Hands-on experience with Java (SpringBoot, open-source libraries) and cloud deployments (AWS preferred), plus frontend development with React and TypeScript (or equivalent)
- Understanding of testing principles (test pyramid, pipelines, feedback loops) with a delivery-focused mindset (JUnit, Mockito)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training/experience
