Trevor France Recruitment is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer on behalf of our client. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks across front-end, back-end, and API layers.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring software quality through scalable automation strategies, supporting system enhancements, and contributing to reliable and efficient release cycles. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and offers the opportunity to take ownership of automation practices within a contemporary development environment.Job DutiesDesign, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and microservices testingPlan, create, prioritize, and execute test cases across functional, regression, integration, and release cyclesLead automation initiatives using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, .NET, and PostmanDevelop and implement end-to-end testing strategies for complex, multi-system applicationsEnhance and optimize automation frameworks to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliabilityIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps where applicableCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholdersManage the full defect lifecycle, including identification, tracking, triaging,



and validationIdentify opportunities for automation and contribute to the development of automation roadmapsConduct research and evaluation of new testing tools and frameworksConvert manual test cases into automated test scriptsCommunicate testing strategies, progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholdersRequirements5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Testing5+ years of hands-on experience in QA AutomationStrong experience with Selenium, Cypress, TestComplete, Postman, and .NETExperience testing REST APIs and working with API testing strategiesFamiliarity with microservices architecture, Angular, and .NET CoreSolid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and defect management processesExperience with Azure cloud platform and Azure DevOpsStrong communication, documentation, and reporting skillsAbility to lead testing efforts in Agile/Scrum environmentsUndergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience within financial services environments is considered an assetExperience working in regulated environments with exposure to risk, compliance, or audit requirements is considered an assetTrevor Frances Recruitment is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible recruitment process.
