Position Summary Position Description & QualificationsThe Centre Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a the Centre, ensuring the site is safe, welcoming, accessible, and compliant. This role ensures effective on‑site service delivery and acts as the operational link between frontline teams and catchment leadership.The Centre Manager leads on-site staff, manages centre-based programming, and ensures clients are efficiently connected to services, supports, and employment pathways within a low‑barrier, inclusive workplace.Core ResponsibilitiesOversee daily centre operations, including visitor flow, service delivery, and programming schedules.Ensure compliance with health, safety, accessibility, privacy, and BC requirements.Lead, mentor, and coordinate Resource Specialists, Case Managers, and Support Staff.Monitor client traffic and adjust staffing schedules to meet service demand.Support intake, triage, and warm handover processes within the centre.Maintain a trauma‑informed, inclusive, and welcoming service environment.Build strong relationships with employment service providers and community partners connected to the centre.Ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery of workshops and centre‑based engagement activities.Manage centre‑level budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost‑effective operations.Monitor performance metrics and provide regular operational reports to the Catchment Manager.Apply de‑escalation and problem‑solving skills in client or staff‑related situations.Foster positive team culture, manage morale,
and support staff well‑being.Support implementation of catchment-wide initiatives and service changes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Social Services, Business Administration, or related field preferred.5–7 years of experience in operations management, employment services, or community programs.Proven experience leading frontline teams in high‑volume service environments.Strong understanding of accessibility standards, privacy legislation, and workplace safety.Experience managing centre‑based programming and service schedules.Familiarity with Compass, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and equity‑deserving groups.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and crisis management skills.Company Overview Serco Canada Inc. strives to make an impact every day across 100+ sites in the areas of Defense, Citizen Services, and Transportation.
