Residential Community Manager (On-Site) - Pickering

Purpose

Responsible for effectively managing a residential property while providing the highest level of customer service to residents and owners. Operate within our standards of safety, quality customer service, and efficient operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Management of Staff:

- Supervise and manage operational staff working on and around the property.
- Ensure effective performance management of staff.

Customer Service Relations:

- Maintain top-tier customer service for residents and owners.
- Communicate effectively with residents and relevant parties, addressing concerns promptly.
- Manage resident functions to foster respect and goodwill.
- Focus on resident retention.
- Handle resident and owner complaints promptly and appropriately.

Administration:

- Monitor rent collection, reconciliation, and ensure compliance with relevant statutes. Communicate with residents regarding rent, and organize eviction processes if necessary.
- Code and approve invoices from suppliers and contractors.
- Review and approve rental applications.

Building Maintenance:

- Conduct inspections of vacant units, noting deficiencies and preparing reports.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance work.
- Place service calls and coordinate contracted work.




- Regularly inspect common areas and address deficiencies.
- Propose improvements to management processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies within 15 minutes.

Qualifications

Education

- Preference: College Degree.
- Must read and write English fluently, perform intermediate mathematical functions, and use property management software.

Experience

- Minimum two years’ experience in residential property management or related field.

Skills and Abilities

- Proficient with computers and software.
- Motivated to learn and grow.
- Knowledge of maintenance requirements, vendor, and contract management.
- High stress tolerance.

Special Requirements:

- Willingness to be on call and work irregular hours.
