Empower teens as a passionate Substance Use Counsellor. Provide holistic, recovery-oriented mental health assessment and treatment for youth facing co-occurring challenges, within a cooperative, multi-disciplinary team.
In this permanent role, you will deliver individual, group, and family therapy, focusing on enhancing resilience for youth battling addiction and mental health issues. Partner with families and the broader team to create personalized care plans. Your contributions will support the healing journey of children and young people, building on their strengths in a day program and live-in setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct trauma-informed assessments and treatment plans • Facilitate psycho-educational groups for youth and parents • Advocate for youth and families to promote autonomy • Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals for care • Monitor and adapt recovery-oriented goals as needed
Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required • 1-2 years of substance use counselling experience • Familiarity with motivational interviewing and CBT • Ability to manage diverse, complex cases • Active registration under Health Professions Act required
