THE OPPORTUNITY: The Program Engineer drives the end-to-end launch of new automotive products in a manufacturing environment, serving as the key link between cross-functional teams and OEM customers to deliver programs on time, on budget, and to spec. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Lead the full APQP lifecycle for new programs, from concept and feasibility through SOP and stabilization Develop and maintain detailed project timing plans, milestones, and recovery plans; drive on-time completion of all engineering deliverables. Apply working knowledge of plastic-based automotive components — including air induction systems and filtration assemblies — to support tooling feasibility, design validation planning, and manufacturing readiness Coordinate cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Tooling, Purchasing, Sales) to ensure alignment on scope, timing, and cost. Prepare and lead project reviews, technical presentations, and program status updates for management and customer stakeholders Serve as the primary technical contact for customer engineering, program management, and purchasing for assigned components/systems Translate customer requirements, specifications, and standards into transparent internal engineering and manufacturing requirements. Lead and/or support customer design reviews, DV/PV build events, launch readiness reviews, and problem-solving workshops. Collaborate with tooling, material, and equipment suppliers to ensure designs, tooling, and processes meet performance, quality, and timing expectations.



Proficiency and working knowledge in supplier portals and systems, including APQP evidence uploads, BOM validation, engineering drawing releases, deviation/ECN approvals, quality gateway tracking, and Level-3 PPAP submissions. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE: Minimum Qualifications: 5 years Tier 1 automotive environment related project or program management experience. Proven knowledge of program management methodology, tools, and techniques including APQP, PPAP, and AIAG core tools Undergraduate degree as a minimum in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related. Hands‑on knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes, specifically air induction system or filtration experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams through APQP and PPAP for OEM/Tier 1 product launches. Working knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 quality systems related to the project and customer-specific requirements. Experience with standard MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and 3D CAD data review (CATIA, Solidworks, NX, or similar). Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present confidently to customers and senior management WHY ABCOR Filters?
