We are seeking a driven
Engineering & Technical Services Manager
to join our Canadian Operations team. This high impact role sits at the centre of our production floor, providing leadership across both Engineering and Maintenance. What you can expect from the team In this role, you’ll work closely with our Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, Tooling, and Corporate teams – the core groups that keep our plant running at its best. Whether collaborating with engineers on new product launches or partnering with maintenance and production leaders to maximise uptime, you’ll be at the centre of the action. Your work will drive meaningful improvements that elevate our manufacturing performance and support our long‑term success.
Your leadership focus
Lead and manage cross‑functional teams to plan, develop, and implement new or modified manufacturing and stamping processes from concept through launch and into stable production.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives including feasibility studies, PFMEAs, control plans, and process audits to ensure safe, high quality, and efficient operations.
Provide hands‑on engineering leadership to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving tooling, dies, presses, automation, and supporting equipment, escalating when necessary.
Develop detailed technical specifications, coordinate vendor engagement, obtain competitive quotations, and prepare comprehensive Capital Expenditure (CapEx) proposals.
Build, manage,
and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
Ensure all plant equipment is maintained for maximum reliability, safety, and uptime, supporting uninterrupted production flow.
Monitor, analyse, and act on key maintenance KPIs such as downtime, asset utilisation, and schedule adherence.
Evaluate and develop new manufacturing technologies including assessing make‑versus‑buy opportunities to support cost, quality, and capacity goals.
What you will bring to our team
5 years of experience in a manufacturing workplace, specialising in plant engineering, process control, and high‑volume production operations.
Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment performance, metal stamping operations, and data‑driven decision‑making.
Proven ability to independently design and optimise processes, layouts, and workflows to support efficiency and scalability.
Highly detail‑oriented and organised, with a disciplined approach to documentation, planning, and execution.
Track record of delivering measurable process improvements, including line balancing, cycle‑time reduction, and productivity gains.
Solid project management capability within live production environments, ensuring safe, timely, and cost‑effective implementation.
Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings,
assessing process capabilities, and identifying improvement opportunities.
Experience leading and coordinating multi‑skilled teams, resolving complex technical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Mechanical Engineering degree or related college diploma, supported by hands‑on technical and operational experience.
