Job Summary
Optimum Communications, Inc. (NYSE: OPTU) is one of the largest broadband communications providers in the United States. As a member of the Consumer Product Management team, the Product Manager leads the strategy, lifecycle management, and operational issues for residential products such as broadband Internet, voice/home phone, Wi‑Fi, video, mobile, and value‑add services. The role delivers innovative solutions that attract new customers and retain existing subscribers.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the business value of the value‑add services products and portfolio to grow new customer relationships and/or maintain existing customers.
- Plan and execute product solutions that meet user needs, focusing on long‑term, sustainable, and profitable business.
- Act as the customer advocate, driving strategy and ensuring effective product‑market fit.
- Deliver on operational, customer experience, and financial KPIs, managing the lifecycle of product features.
- Research technological developments, trends, and competitor strengths and weaknesses.
- Create and validate new products through customer interviews, prototypes, and beta tests.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to execute operational details of product launches or changes.
- Manage relationships with key vendors that provide device protection, repair, and technical support for personal electronics, smart home devices, and appliances.
- Identify potential communication challenges associated with product initiatives and ensure Care, Retail, and Sales representatives are informed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or related fields such as consumer packaged goods, telecom, cable,
or technology.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- Engineering background or technical expertise appreciated but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of B2C telecommunications products and technologies preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience with broadband or smart home products is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate communication and projects across cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with the lifecycle of product development and customer experience.
- Ability to manage operating expenses against budgets.
- Robust business acumen across product management, business development, vendor relationships, and marketing.
- Understanding of product fundamentals such as market share, profitability, and addressable market.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work cross‑functionally.
- Experience managing third‑party partners is a plus.
Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $123,379.00 – $176,256.00 per year.
