This role will cover projects across Canada and the U.S. and will involve delivering design commissions for major clients such as Metrolinx, VIA, TTC, BART and the MTA.ResponsibilitiesLead the design verification of OCS conceptual and detailed designs, including integration with power supply and other electrification enablers.Produce OCS layout plans, cross‑sections, sectioning diagrams, bills of quantity and bonding plans within multi‑disciplinary rail projects.Use CAD and design software (e.G. Bentley MicroStation, LinearDraft, ELF) to generate drawings.Conduct site surveys, site visits and report on asset conditions.Design OCS for rail stations, corridors,



maintenance yards and facilities.Apply knowledge of OCS construction methods and installation practices.Assist bid managers in preparing competitive tender submissions.Understand third‑rail and other railway electrification systems and traction supply and distribution.Develop strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.QualificationsAppropriate university engineering degree or equivalent qualification.Membership of relevant professional institutions or a Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (or equivalent).At least 7 years of experience in a senior OCS engineering role.BenefitsCompetitive, fair and equitable pay with a Toronto base salary range of $130,000 to $160,000 per year (based on experience, education and skill level).Profit share and GRRSP 5% company match to help you save for your future.Comprehensive benefits package, 100 % paid by Arup (excluding optional life insurance).Paid time off, health and wellbeing support, and flexible working arrangements.Arup is an equal‑opportunity employer that actively promotes and nurtures a diverse and inclusive workforce.
