Permanent Full Time. The Individual Wealth Technology team within Application Delivery, Canada and Lifeco is seeking a Director, Technology Delivery. The Director, Technology Delivery is a highly experienced leader, tasked with overseeing the technology delivery of large programs and projects. In this role you will partner with business, technology and program managers and teams, act as a trusted advisor to internal clients by proactively building relationships and delivering on committed work. You will work closely with members of the Individual Wealth business and technology teams, with responsibility for delivery leadership that is measured by the team’s collective ability to generate positive results for Canada Life’s business and clients. The role mandate is to successfully deliver large technology programs and projects in support of the organization’s mandate for Wealth Transformation. Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to business areas by proactively building relationships to understand the business’ current state, short and long-term priorities, ensuring open and ongoing communication to proactively address any issues Partner with internal teams and preferred vendors to plan, architect and deliver on business priorities Ensure leaders and team members cut through siloes to work together towards common goals Lead and manage technology delivery across programs and projects, aligning resources, timelines,
and budgets to deliver measurable business value Directly collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize incoming program components and drive delivery execution Own delivery execution of business technology projects and large work packages Leverage technology by introducing enabling technologies and frameworks to better manage the environment and gain measurable efficiencies Keep resources aligned with current and future delivery needs Stay current on industry technology direction and best practices What you will bring
A minimum of 10+ years technology delivery experience, including large program delivery Ability to understand and effectively work with various business lines and technology ecosystems Experience working with Wealth businesses and systems and knowledge of wealth products in the Canadian market Experience managing through change, enabling an execution excellence culture and applying technology thought leadership to solve problems Excellent leadership and influencing skills with the ability to inspire and drive high employee engagement Ability to respond to and generate urgency, create clarity through ambiguity, and pivot quickly when needed Experience in complex, rapidly evolving environments with high expectations for excellence and achievement Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels, technical and non-technical, within the organization Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or computer science or equivalent experience The base salary for this position is between
$120,000.00 - 155,000.00
annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
