Primary LocationMississauga, OntarioPosition TitleProduct Design Engineer Senior (Onsite)Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or Master's degree and 4+ years related experience.Demonstrated proficiency in dealing with ambiguity and ability to stay focused and to clear barriers.Able to clearly communicate complex concepts to broadly diverse audiences and guide both local and remote teams in achieving their goals.Strong ability to present detailed information at the appropriate level.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Fluent in English verbal & written language.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree and 8+ years' experience.Successfully held a recent role as a System Engineering role working on a product development effort that ultimately led to a successful Market launch/customer delivery.Recent hands‐on experience in the full lifecycle (cradle to grave) development of Enterprise class productivity devices and/or the associated application ecosystem is highly desirable.Expertise in applying generative AI through advanced prompting as a fundamental competency for engineering excellence and innovation.Have a background in complex Software Projects, understanding of Android OS concepts.Working knowledge of the Agile development process.Experience in hardware design and implementation.Experience in solutions for Payment/POS applications is a plus.Experience in Android HAL, Framework, Security, and Applications.Recent working knowledge of latest wireless technologies spanning: 4G/LTE/5G NR, GNSS/UWB, Wi‐Fi/802.11(x), NFC, HF/UHF‐RFID,



Bluetooth/BLE.Multiple languages are a plus.Job ResponsibilitiesDefines the solutions and system requirements for highly complex system design projects.Represents systems engineering as technical contact on assigned projects.Successfully collaborates and communicates with software and hardware sub‐system development teams.Performs system feasibility studies and evaluates alternative technology applications.Collaborates with Product Management and Customers to decompose customer use cases into correct features for recent product development.Integrates new technologies and solutions based on emerging market/industry technologies.Assimilates technology roadmaps in critical product areas.Lead product feature trade‐offs for performance, cost and schedule, while meeting the customer expectations.Utilizes and develops tools to aid in the analysis and resolution of complex problems.Manages and coordinates the activities of other engineering personnel and often performs technical project leadership.
