The Director of Operations – Canada holds a pivotal leadership role within the Freight Management division. This position requires a strategic mindset and strong operational focus to steer the Canadian business unit toward continued growth and excellence in the competitive logistics and supply chain industry.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for leading the overall management of the business line, including the development and execution of strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives. You will oversee operations, financial performance, and team leadership, ensuring alignment with the company’s global standards and local market requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies that drive profitability and market share growth for the Canada business unit.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, maintaining control over business unit performance and resource allocation.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and relevant Canadian regulatory authorities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes collaboration, innovation,



and professional development.
- Identify market trends and opportunities in the Canadian logistics and supply chain landscape, adapting business plans to remain competitive and responsive to external changes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Canadian laws and regulations, as well as corporate governance and Freight Management Canada policies and standards.
- Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior management, contributing to informed decision-making at the regional and global executive levels.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Extensive experience in senior management roles within logistics, transportation, or supply chain sectors, ideally with responsibility for a national or regional business unit.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams toward common goals.
- Proven track record in managing P&L; responsibilities and driving sustainable business growth.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and sound decision-making capabilities.
- Fluency in English is required; French language skills are an asset for the Canadian market.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace and manage multiple priorities effectively.
