We are looking for tutors to start Spring 2026 as well as starting in September/October 2026.Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one tutoring in the student’s home,



with an adult presentTravel to students’ homes within approximately a 20-minute commute by TTC or carPlan, prepare, and organize lesson materials tailored to each student’s needs, learning style, and academic goalsReinforce classroom learning and support homework completion, test preparation, study skills, and subject-specific skill developmentAdapt teaching strategies and explanations to suit the individual studentMonitor student progress and provide clear, professional updates to parents and/or the tutoring team as neededBuild a positive, encouraging, and productive learning environmentMaintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in all interactions with students and familiesWho We’re Looking ForOur tutors meet one or more of the following qualifications:Are in positive standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, or are certified to teach in another Canadian province or territoryAre current teacher candidates enrolled in a Bachelor of Education programHave experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian university or collegePreferred Skills and AttributesIn addition, our ideal tutors:Are passionate about teaching and committed to helping students succeedHave prior tutoring and/or classroom teaching experienceDemonstrate strong knowledge of and familiarity with the Ontario CurriculumAre able to build rapport with students and develop positive, professional relationships with familiesCommunicate clearly and effectivelyAre patient, adaptable, organized, and dependableAre confident tailoring their approach to different learning needs and personalitiesTutor TypesGeneralElementary - all rolesMiddle school - all rolesHigh school - all rolesSpecific roles we are looking for:Please visit our site for specific hiring roles: https://totallytutors.Com/roles-available/CompensationStarting at $40/hour
