Lead impactful community crime prevention initiatives as a dedicated Crime Prevention Unit Supervisor. Oversee programs, manage volunteers, and develop strategies to enhance community safety and engagement.
In this vital role, you will steer the organization and direction of various community policing services and crime prevention programs. Responsibilities include coordinating and motivating a dedicated team of volunteers, promoting essential crime prevention services, and presenting impactful training sessions. The position also emphasizes report preparation, grant proposal drafting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with community safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and direct community crime prevention programs
• Supervise and assess volunteer and staff contributions
• Recruit, interview, and schedule community volunteers
• Prepare reports and monitor program expenditures
• Liaise with community groups and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Grade 12 with supervisory courses highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience in volunteer management
• Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Ability to secure RCMP security clearance
• Robust communication and relationship-building skills
