The Operations Manager – Logan position

We are hiring a dedicated full time onsite skilled who understands the importance of showing up for their teammates every day to support our production team at West End Radiators. The Operations Manager – Logan, is responsible for the daily operational performance of the Logan facilities, including the service shop operations, workflow management and continuous improvement. This role leads operational execution at our Logan Service Shop location to ensure that production processes operate efficiently, safely, and consistently while supporting the company’s growth objectives all while working closely with the Lead Hand, QC, Engineering, Sales and other departments and locations.

What you will do

- Manufacturing & Service Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Logan service shop and production areas
- Ensure work orders are scheduled, dispatched, and completed efficiently through the different work centers
- Ensure production targets, turnaround times, and quality standards are consistently met
- Design and manage production workflows across work centers
- Ensure work orders move efficiently through the shop from intake to QC completion
- Work closely with shop leadership to maintain organized and efficient production flow
- Lead implementation of 5S and Lean manufacturing practices across the Logan facility
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity




- Plan production capacity based on workload and demand forecasts
- Identification and implementation of proper staffing, equipment availability, and scheduling to meet customer demand

KPI Management & Operational Reporting

- Develop and maintain operational KPIs and performance dashboards
- Track productivity, turnaround time, quality metrics, and resource utilization
- Ensure KPI reporting is updated regularly and visible to employees and leadership

Quality & Process Control

- Work with QC and engineering teams to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Implement process controls, SOPs, and operational guardrails.
- Reduce defects, rework, and operational errors (see performance plan)

Maintenance & Equipment

- Ensure equipment and machinery are properly maintained
- Establish and coordinate preventative maintenance programs

Safety Leadership

- Ensure all employees follow WER safety standards
- Implement improvements to safety procedures and workplace organization
- Lead and support lead hand and operational staff
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Provide visibility to Territory Manager on all HR related items

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent College Degree/Diploma in Industrial or Mechanical specialties, or equivalent leadership and manufacturing experience
- Formal education and certification in 5S and Lean Manufacturing
- 5+ years in manufacturing or service shop environment,



with demonstrated experience leading operations and continuous improvement programs
- This position requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs and handle repetitive operation of equipment, bending, reaching, kneeling, and stretching. Handling and gripping would be required for some activities. Exposure to dust/occasional excessive noise levels.
- Body Movements: Full range of body movements including the use of their hands to handle and feel objects such as computer equipment, parts, and tools.
- Body Senses: The employee must have command of at least four out of five senses: sight, hearing, touch, and smell. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Travel out of province/country might be required from time to time.
