will be responsible for financial statements, journal entries, asset management, and overseeing the accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger. This position is ideal for a hands‑on accounting leader who thrives in a fast‑paced workplace and is passionate about driving accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Prepare and review financial statements (on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis)
Manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes and reports accordingly
Partners and coordinates with external auditors and support audit activities
Supervise and mentor accounting employees
Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
Possess 3‑5 years’ prior similar accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Fluency in Microsoft Office Products, including Outlook, Excel and Word and other tools used to analyze large volumes of data
Knowledge of Fixed Assets management
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Excellente communication and leadership abilities
Qualifications
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restrictions
CPA designation or equivalent certification is a requirement
Expertise using various accounting software’s (knowledge of NetSuite will be considered an asset)
