Our mission is to empower students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers. We pride ourselves on our innovative programs, supportive learning environment, and commitment to excellence and student focus.

We are seeking a highly motivated and student-centered Senior Admissions Specialist to achieve two primary goals: close enrolments today and build the infrastructure to scale a high-performing recruitment team.

You will work closely with students, helping them learn more about the College and eventually guiding them to enrolment in a professional and compliant manner. This is a player-coach opportunity and comes with a “build” mandate rather than simply maintain.

This is primarily a Sales position and will require meeting targets and occasional work on evenings or weekends, if required.

Key Responsibilities:

· Recruit and enroll prospective students into New West College through direct outreach, follow-up and consultative advising. This may include but not be limited to phone calls, in-person/virtual meetings or light travel.

· Contact prospective students promptly after a lead is submitted and follow the appropriate contact workflows.

· Work closely with Marketing to ensure that quality leads are being obtained through marketing strategies.

· Ensure all admission requirements are met prior to successful admission for all prospective students. This may include administering entrance exams, if required.

· Gather and enter all student records into the Student Information System (SIS) promptly.

· Build on the College’s in-house recruitment processes – from lead generation to enrolment conversion

· Develop appropriate admissions training for future admission advisors

· Track pipeline activity, conversion rates, and enrolment rates using the College’s CRM and reporting tools.

· Keep up to date with current legislation and regulations that impact the admissions process.

· Be familiar with Alberta Student Aid policies and procedures to guide students who may wish to obtain financial assistance for their education.

· Collaborate with existing Admissions team to process applications during busy times.

· Mentor junior admission advisors during onboarding and performance of duties.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

· Minimum of 2+ years of experience in student admissions, recruitment or enrolment at a post-secondary institution (preferably a PCC).

· Minimum of 2+ years of experience in B2C sales.

· Experience with and knowledge of HubSpot or similar CRM as it relates to sales pipelines and workflows.

· Knowledge of Alberta Student Aid application process.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

· Ambition to grow into a leadership position.

· Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to actively engage students, faculty, and external partners in a positive and approachable manner.

· Demonstrated enthusiasm for building connections and fostering collaborative relationships in both one-on-one and group settings.

· Comfortable initiating conversations, facilitating discussions, and presenting ideas with confidence to diverse audiences.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, social media, and virtual conferencing tools.

Why Join Us?

· Be part of a student-focused, mission-driven team helping adult learners succeed in today’s job market.

· Play a vital role in shaping careers.

· The opportunity to build a team and develop leadership competencies.

· Enjoy a collaborative work environment with opportunities to grow professionally.

· Take advantage of a comprehensive suite of employer benefits.

Perks:

· Comprehensive Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Professional Services & Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP))

· Five (5) Weeks Paid Time Off

· Performance Bonus Structure

· Limited* Hybrid Work Schedule

· Professional Annual Dues Reimbursement

· On-Site Parking
